Dave has taken over for Anthony for us this season and is doing a wonderful job. Hardly knew he was here today but I can tell by the tractor tracks that he’s done a very thorough job. Thanks Dave! Just updating some comments I left a while ago. Lawn Doctor is wonderful all around, my lawn looks better every season. Anthony is great, not only does he do a great job, but he always takes the time to answer all the questions I have. He’s very knowledgeable and friendly, he’s been our technician for many years. Thanks Lawn Doctor, and Anthony - I wouldn’t think of using any other lawn service! I switched to Lawn Doctor many years ago and never looked back. Have been with them for 4 years now - excellent service and very proactive approach to always guide and advice me on how to prevent bad spots; grub control and watering schedule. Love the annual pre-pay service with which you get a discount for paying for annual services upfront. The technicians sent out are very knowledgeable and will leave you specific on what to do and not do to maintain lush green lawn in your yard. The chemicals used are of good quality and brand. Having tried to maintain the lawn by myself - I realize what a difference a professional company can bring to the table - the cost is very reasonable considering the you have don't have to invest in storing the chemicals and heavy equipment needed. ~ Jay J

I highly recommend Lawn Doctor out of Carroll County. I have been using them now for 3 or 4 years now and my lawn looks fantastic. Everyone there from the front office staff to the managers are great. Besides needing the usual weed control done, my lawn is especially challenging as I get a lot of shade and there's a lot of moisture where I am (I am by a stream) so my yard tends to get brown patch fungus in the summer and most recently "snow mold" this past winter. Lawn Doctor has always been able to properly treat to fix the mold as it pops up and bring the lawn back every time. Also the Operations Manager, Matt, is very knowledgeable and I've talked to him a few times and he has always known exactly what to do to properly treat my lawn. ~ Christopher S

They are not satisfied until you are satisfied!, Anytime we have a concern or a question, we’ll send an email and get a quick response. If a tech needs to come out to look at or to analyze the problem, that is done promptly as well. This is the best lawn service we have had and we have use two other well known companies in the past. Eddie treated my lawn today! This was the 1st at my home. All of the technicians with Lawn Doctor who have treated my lawn take time to introduce themselves, tell the type of treatment being done and ask if I have any concerns needing to be addressed. Last fall, our predominantly clay soil became infected with fungi due to all the rain; the result was almost all our grass died. This spring Tony came out and advised that he reseed using their proprietary power seeder and that I topdress the soil with Leaf-gro rather than add topsoil. This process has been very successful with a high germination rate and my skimpy grass is now looking lush. Granted I had to water during a few dry spells given the baby grass, and adding Leaf-gro is work, but my results have surpassed what I ever thought we could accomplish. (I have done seeding by hand and never come close to this germination rate.) I appreciate Tony's willingness to give personalized recommendations and benefitting from his expertise in gardening. I never got this kind of attention from other vendors I have used in past years as Chem Lawn or Pro Grass. Lawn Doctor has earned my loyalty. ~ marie c

So far, everyone and every process has been great! On my first call, I was able to speak with a live person, who was very helpful and kind. Did I say live, yes live!!! Mark came out and he was absolutely the best advisor. He knows his stuff and he shared his knowledge about my lawn. He talked with me to share what was needed, what products would be used and the cost. I have used/called other companies who just take an aerial view and give you, I guess, the same products as they do others. Tom came out and did a soil analysis and put down a couple of products. He was very respectful of my property and he cleaned up afterwards. He prompted me to ask questions and even shared some tips. Andrew came out to aerate and seed my lawn. I didnt see him, but it appeared he took the same care of my property. Also, they really did put down a lot of seed. I'm very grateful that my brother recommended them to me. Corey always does a super-professional job for us. He’s more than conscientious, he seeks out every area of need we might have to maintain the pest control on our property. Our property is adjacent to a forest, so it’s a huge job. Not only does Corey do a great job with the yard, he also helps with pest control around the perimeter of our house. Ever since he started with us, he’s taken the time to answer our questions and offer guidance when we asked for it. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate. I’ve used lawn Dr for many years , a few years ago they raised the prices so I went to true green. Boy was that a mistake! I had to crawl back to lawn dr and beg for forgiveness. They have always been the ones I thank for me having the best lawn in my neighborhood. Jimmy always walks back thru my yard to double check his work and clears all the walks. Angel is hands down the best at customer support with her laughs and willingness to make me feel like a customer not a dollar. She knows I’ll never stray from Lawn Dr again. For years my lawn was the worst looking lawn in the entire neighborhood, bare spots, several different types of grass, ant hills, uneven turf, and hard as rocks dirt. Lawn Doctor was my savior! I chose Lawn Doctor because they are local to the Carroll County area. After a personal inspection by Tony Richardson we decided to have my entire lawn killed off and started over. . Lawn Doctor was with me through every phase of the restoration. Within a year I had an absolutely beautiful lawn, the kind I could walk barefoot in. Every year now I get comments on my lush lawn. Team Tony: I have been using Lawn Doctor now for three years. They have killed violets that were infesting my back yard, grown grass where it shouldn't have been able to, been straight forward with me about shaded ares I needs to forget grass and get wood chips. They have patched eroded areas, fought drought last year and the record rain this year. My technician Harley through all of this has kept me informed and helped my take a yard that "Grubs won't even live here" in year one to an beautiful green, weed free place I am extremely happy to look out on. Just WOW!! I have watched our lawn begin to transform. We had lots of projects we have done to our home and the lawn was put to the side. Since we finished all the major projects we decided to enlist Lawn Doctor to bring our weedy, mosey and just a mess lawn back to life. In one season, what they have done has been amazing. I can see my vision of a beautiful lush lawn coming true. I found them to be very fairly priced and great with communication. I used their full season lawn service which consisted of fertilizers, grub control, weed killer and control and I paid extra in the fall for core aeration and seeding. I had a lot of bald areas. I was diligent in watering the bald areas for more than 3 weeks after the seeding and was very pleased with the end results. My lawn in much fuller and very lush and green. While I still have some very small bald areas I am very pleased with the service and will renew for next year. The service is expensive but is worth it to me. ~ Louis B

Today the technician Tom came out to service our lawn and we had a couple of questions about some the products and services that are offered. He was friendly, professional, and customer focused. Lawn Doctor provides "Yard Armour for Property and Home," in order to prevent ticks and mosquitoes in the yard, as well as insects entering the house around the foundation. Our faithful, dedicated technician is Corey. He's so attentive to our needs. This month, he added a handwritten note to his report, pointing out something we hadn't thought of that we could do to help increase our protection. I've been dealing with Tony and the staff at Lawn Doctor for over 10 years. What I like most is everyone is always so responsive when I have areas of concern with my grass. If needed Tony doesn't mind coming out to look at and access what's needed to tend to property and bring it back to a healthy status. Lawn care with a personal touch. We have several services per season and he always does an excellent job whether it be fertilizing, seedling, applying lime, weed, or grub control his service has always been outstanding. I hired lawn doctor to completely reseed my new construction that was totally weeds. I have experience in Landscaping but with my business I do not have the time or the specialized equipment to do it as easily so I hired Lawn Doctor. They did a very good job. When I felt areas were missed in the process, they came out to remedy each minor mistake without push back. The results were great and I would recommend them to my friends. ~ Joe J

Corey, our technician, went above and beyond the other day for our first service of the year. We forgot to lock our dog away and he simply closed the gate so he could successfully do his job without our dog walking all over the chemicals he just sprayed. They are very true to their word and now my lawn is looking great. I have been using them for several years and I am very pleased with their service. I have seen their competitor treating my neighbor's yard and the technician sat in the van for a very long time then got and place the sign and was gone. Corey always arrives on schedule, respects the property and completes in a timely manner. Whenever I have questions or concerns, I get the best customer service. As with everything prices have increased but when you get great service and results you dont mind paying for it. Our lawn is the best in my neighborhood. It's healthy, green and lush. We have been doing business with the Lawn Doctor since early 1980's when moved to Walkersville from California. We grew to know Joe (the owner) personally. Lawn Doctor has been consistent in quality of service.
